A once-famous mommy blogger returns to her family cottage in Maine in hopes of reconnecting with her adult children, until she’s forced to confront a past she thought she’d buried, taking her back to the online community she swore she’d left behind.

Once a popular mommy blogger, Christie Leighton is now widowed, retired, and estranged from her adult children, who resent having had their childhoods exploited for content. When a scathing article about the original early-aughts mommy bloggers is published, Christie is shocked to find her own children quoted in the piece. Determined to repair the damage, she returns to the family cottage in Maine, hoping that a summer together will help reconnect her fragmented family.
Upon arrival, however, Christie is forced to confront a past she thought she’d buried — including a decades-old lie, her late husband’s shocking secrets, and rekindled feelings for a man she once betrayed. She also finds herself lulled back into posting on social media, reconnecting with the superficial online world she promised she’d left behind. To truly make amends and rebuild her life, Christie must reckon with the cost of turning her loved ones into content, choose honesty over attention, and embrace the real-life messiness that exists beneath the surface of a perfectly curated social media feed.
